The Oscars...
I know the oscars happened awhile ago, but I thought I'd bring them up. Did ya'll enjoy them? do you follow celebrities like most Americans? I found the Oscars to be intersting and sobering. Sean Penn's nomination was upsetting to me, because it is an indication of where our society is headed. We don't care about the sanctitiy of marriage anymore. And other films that were nominated, like Kate Winselet's Revolutionary Road and The Reader were both shocking displays of messy hurtful relationships. No wonder we can't get this dating thing down, when all we have to go off of are movies in which people can't hold their lives together. This is so sad! We should create films that don't show gay people, or people struggling in marriages. we should create films that show christian values and ideas instead. Hollywood would probably never respect them, but at least it would give Christians something to watch instead of all that mindless drivel.

I very much agree with your point. People learn from example, so when Hollywood sets this kind of example for people it's no wonder that this country has some major problems going on with it.
