Once, when I was seven, I got lost in a grocery store. I panicked, looking all around for my mom. She was no where to be found. I didn't know where to turn, or where to look. At first I ran around the store as fast as I could, searching for her. At every corner I thought I saw her, only to find out it was another woman with the same hair cut. Eventually, I got tired and out of breath and stopped running. discouraged, I sat down and started to cry. I was too scared to ask anyone to help me or to tell them that I was lost. So I sat, helpless.
All of the sudden, I heard the store clerk over the loudspeaker. She said my name! She told me my mother was waiting for me at the front of the store! I ran to my mom and was so happy to see her-so happy to be found.
thinking about this, I realized that God is like that. We can't always tell that he's there. we feel lost without him... wondering around looking in all the wrong places. but he is there. and if we lsiten closely, he will call to us.

This week I have found more than ever that when we feel like we have lost something that we hold dear is when our need for a Savior is most apparent. In those moments, God calls our name. Those moments are the most cherished.
